At our centre we utilize a pedagogy approach through the resource “How does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years”. Our focus in the infant room is to create a safe and welcoming environment for their development and needs. Each child should feel safe, valued and have a sense of belonging that will allow them to express their individual needs and skills.
At our childcare centre we provide low child to staff ratios by exceeding required teacher to child ratios of 1:3. Our small groups provide the infants with the opportunity to develop a trusting relationship with the staff as well as their peers.
Our infant program is unique as we follow a child’s schedule through their needs throughout the day. We understand that they require constant individual attention. The staff in the infant program work along with the families to create individual schedules for their child. As such, the Bloorcourt Village Early Learning Centre solution puts a high emphasis on following your child’s progress and gradually adjusting their schedule as needed.
