Our kindergarten/summer camp program practices the pedagogical approach of play-based learning using “How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years”.
We believe every child is unique and competent in their own way. Every child should feel safe, valued, and have a sense of belonging which allows them to express their individual needs and skills. At our childcare centre we provide 1:13 staff ratios in our kindergarten/summer camp program.
Bloorcourt Village Early Learning Centre will encourage their development and foster their independence in a nurturing environment. Our kindergarten/summer camp room are open-concept with areas of interest that encourage social, emotional, cognitive, language and literacy, and physical development. All furniture is age appropriate allowing the children to practice self-help skills, and see themselves as worthy individuals.
Bloorcourt Village Early Learning Centre provide supervised escort service for the kindergarten children during the school year to St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School and Dovercourt Public School. We welcome children outside of our community as long as the families provide transportation for their child to and from schools they are enrolled at.
